According to an survey conducted by Roger Ulrich, Ph.D., Texas A&M University, when working in an plant-filled environment:

- Men generated 15% more ideas
- Women generated more creative, and flexible solutions
- Both men and women demonstrated more ideas and more original solutions to workplace problems
